Wise River, Montana

Freedom Ranch for Heroes is a sanctuary for those who have served and sacrificed for our nation with courage and with honor.

Freedom Ranch for Heroes, hosted by the Harbaugh Foundation, sits alongside the famous Big Hole River in Wise River, Montana.

It’s a place for adventure. It’s a place for connecting. But mostly, it’s a place for physical and emotional healing.

Over the years, countless veterans, representing every branch of our nation’s military, first responders, retired law enforcement officers, and others, have been hosted at Freedom Ranch for a journey of healing, mentorship, and camaraderie.

Montana is a stunning backdrop for all that Freedom Ranch has to offer, as guests experience the therapeutic powers of fly-fishing, learn horsemanship, and enjoy the great outdoors.

World Class Fly-Fishing

We are incredibly proud to partner with our friends at Project Healing Waters to bring a premiere fly-fishing experience to Freedom Ranch guests. PHW is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active duty military personnel and veterans through fly-fishing. Our staff and volunteers teach basic fundamentals and advanced techniques, while helping visitors to build long-term relationships. It’s so much more than a one-time fishing trip.
